Today we lost Silli, a 9 year canine resident of One More Smith. We rescued an emaciated and very sick Silli from the beach in Aruba and brought her and her 9 newborn puppies home with us. All the puppies were adopted out to great homes, but because of Silli’s heart worm, she needed special care. She has brought nothing but joy to all the other animals, especially to the foster puppies and kittens she helped raise. Silli raised Quincy, our special needs dog who passed on a few months ago. I think she died from a broken heart.
