After two months of passing it around, we’re happy to report that we are down to only five cats in our isolation room, and Tangerine has been released back into general population!

We’re working hard to eradicate the upper respiratory virus circulating at OMS…Tangerine and Nemo have been fighting it for over two months now! We’ve tried Orbax and Convenia, separately AND together!

Take a quick tour of Purdy’s Perch Medical Room. It is such advancement for us. To have the medically fragile be able to stay on site while they are ill is incredibly important for their spirit.
We have never been more excited; We walked into the almost finished Purdy’s Perch Medical Room. It is such advancement for us.
the walls are up, the lighting has been installed, and the floor is next!
Your support is helping us to build Purdy’s Perch, which will help facilitate wellness in the cats struggling with continual illness. This room will be a sterile and serine environment. For residents that come with severe medical or neglect and need to heal or get well.
New Year and much to do…. Currently OMS has three residents and one new Smith in overnight vet care. The need for us to finish Purdy’s Perch has never been more needed. Carina’s run slated to begin as soon as the snow is gone.
One More Smith was able to order all the material needed for the building of the cat health room, it will be called “Purdy’s Perch”. This room will help facilitate wellness in the cats struggling with continual illness. This room will be a sterile and serene environment. For residents that come with severe medical or neglect and need to heal or get well. This room will be dedicated to Purdy, a great dog who’s owner sent a significant donation in her honor.
